Improvement of abrasion resistance, fatigue strength and slideability
A unique air blasting technology "α-processing" creates "Nano crystal" that is much finer than the crystal created by conventional fine particle shot peening. Hardness is improved by Nano-crystalizing the top most layer of the parts. And, "peening effect" applies residual compressive stress as well. And, "fine texture" formed by α-processing reduces the contact area so that sliding resistance is also reduced to improve slideability.
Improvement of slideability of coatedFine texture can be formed on coated surface to improve lideability of the surface leaving hard coating membrane such as DLC or chrome plating there. Processing can be performed without peeling off the coating.

No dulling on edges
Important portion of mold dies such as pinch-off structure or sharp edges on the parting line can be processed. Hardness, fatigue strength and slideability can be improved without making edges dull. |

Improvement of slideability of high strength and highly brittle material
Fine texture can be formed on high strength and highly brittle material such as zirconia or cemented carbide to provide high slideability.
