About Lead-Free Material (C6801)

1. Handling of RoHS2 Compliant Material (C6801)

In preparation for the potential expiration of the RoHS 2 exemption for brass materials, our company is actively promoting the use of products manufactured with lead-free material (C6801).

Metal Materials Currently Exempted Under the RoHS Directive

● Lead content up to 0.35 wt% in steel materials    ● Lead content up to 0.4 wt% in aluminum

● Lead content up to 4 wt% (40,000 ppm) in copper alloys (brass)

Although the above exemption is currently still permitted under the RoHS Directive, it remains subject to future review, and some exemptions are scheduled to expire between 2026 and 2027. In addition, since lead has been designated as an SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern) under the REACH Regulation, demands for reducing the use of lead-containing materials and switching to lead-free materials have been increasing year by year, particularly in the European market.

In light of these regulatory trends and potential future compliance risks, our company offers machined products made from lead-free materials to help reduce our customers’ environmental compliance burden and prepare for future regulatory changes. Should you have any interest or requirements, please feel free to contact us.
